4. Where we offer murid-murid

murid-murid is offered to people who live in Malaysia. Our lessons follow the Malaysian national curriculum.

The web app can be opened from other countries, but we do not offer or direct the service to people outside Malaysia.

When our iOS and Android apps are released in the Apple App Store and Google Play, they will be offered in the Malaysian stores only.

5. What murid-murid is

murid-murid helps students practise Mathematics and Science. It includes:

  • practice questions and short lessons for Primary Year 1 to Year 6 and Secondary Form 1 to Form 5, arranged in chapters, topics and lessons that follow the Malaysian national curriculum;
  • skip exams, which let a student show they already know a chapter or topic;
  • rewards that make practice feel like a game: XP, Stars, crowns, streaks and daily goals;
  • a parent area where you can follow your child's progress;
  • friends, head-to-head challenges between students, and leaderboards among friends;
  • Mumu, our mascot.

The web app is a beta

The web app at https://app.murid-murid.com is a live beta. Features may change while we improve it. Anything in these Terms marked "coming soon" is not available yet.

What we can and cannot promise

We take care to make our questions and lessons accurate and to run the service with reasonable care and skill. murid-murid is a practice tool. We do not promise any particular school or exam result. If you find a mistake in a question, please report it in the app.

6. Your account

Who may create an account

  • Only a parent or legal guardian who is 18 or over may create an account and accept these Terms. At sign-up you confirm this by ticking a statement.
  • You can sign in with an email address and password, with Google, or with Apple.
  • Give us accurate information and keep your sign-in details private. Tell us straight away if you think someone else has used your account.

Adding your children

  • A child cannot sign up alone.
  • You create a profile for each child. Before the profile is created, you give your consent for that child on a consent screen. We record your consent together with the version of the policy you agreed to and the time our server received it.
  • You are responsible for the children you add and for how they use murid-murid.

Child sessions

Children normally use murid-murid in a session that you open for them on a device (a "child session"). In a child session, a child cannot make purchases, delete an account or open the parent dashboard.

Giving a child their own login

You may later give a child their own email login. After that, only that child, or our administrators, can delete the child's account. You cannot delete it from your own account. See our Deleting Your Account guide.

  • The free plan is available to every registered user at no cost.

8. Using murid-murid fairly

murid-murid is for personal, non-commercial learning. You, and the children on your account, must not:

  • use cheating tools, bots, scripts or anything else that answers questions automatically or games rewards, leaderboards or challenges;
  • copy, scrape, reverse engineer or decompile the app, or try to get around its security;
  • bully, threaten, harass or abuse other users, including through a display name;
  • upload or share anyone else's personal data;
  • resell access to murid-murid or use it or its content for any commercial purpose;
  • use murid-murid in a way that breaks Malaysian law.

9. Friends and challenges

  • Students add friends only with a friend code or a QR code.
  • Other students can see only a child's display name, avatar, XP total and rank on leaderboards among friends, and the results of challenges they played together. They cannot see a child's email, school or date of birth.
  • We are changing this: a school leaderboard is planned. When it launches, students at the same school will see each other's display name, avatar and XP on it. We will update these Terms and the Privacy Notice before it launches.
  • We are changing this: today, any signed-in user can see whether a student is online now and when they were last seen. We are restricting this to the student's friends and current challenge opponents.
  • A student can block another user.
  • If someone is behaving badly, tell us at hello@murid-murid.com or on WhatsApp at +60 16-318 6410.

10. Our content

The questions, lessons, explanations, Mumu the mascot, artwork, sounds, design and software in murid-murid are owned by We Lead Sdn Bhd or used under licence. We refer to the Malaysian national curriculum (for example, chapter and topic names) as a matter of fact.

Some of our practice questions are drafted with the help of artificial intelligence. Every AI-drafted question is reviewed by a human editor before any student sees it.

While you have an account, we give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use murid-murid for personal, non-commercial learning. You may not copy, publish or sell our content.

11. What you send us

You keep ownership of anything you or your children type into murid-murid, such as a display name, a question report or a support message.

You give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use it to run the service, for example to show a display name to friends or to fix a question that was reported.

12. Suspending an account

We may suspend an account, or a child's access, if it is used in breach of these Terms, for example to cheat or to abuse other users. We tell the parent why by email, and the parent can reply to ask us to review the decision.

13. Ending this agreement and deleting your account

You may stop using murid-murid at any time.

To delete your account, go to Settings > Account > Delete account. A student with their own login can go to Settings > Delete account. You can also email hello@murid-murid.com from your registered email address with the subject "Delete my account".

When an account is deleted, its sign-in is deleted at once and its data is permanently erased after 30 days. A deletion cannot be undone, and you cannot sign back in. Our Deleting Your Account guide explains what happens to your children's profiles and what we keep.

14. Your personal data

Our Privacy Notice explains what personal data we collect, why, who we share it with and how long we keep it. It also explains your rights under the Personal Data Protection Act 2010.

15. Our responsibility to you

  • Nothing in these Terms takes away your rights under the Consumer Protection Act 1999, including the guarantee that our services are provided with reasonable care and skill.
  • Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for negligence, for death or personal injury, or for fraud.
  • Apart from that, our total liability to you for any claim about murid-murid is limited to the fees you paid for murid-murid in the 12 months before the claim arose.

16. Changes to these Terms

  • Every version of these Terms shows its version number and date at the top. Each version is kept at its own web address on murid-murid.com, for example murid-murid.com/en/legal/terms/v/2026.10.
  • Before a material change, we will tell you in the app and by email at least 14 days before it takes effect.
  • If you keep using murid-murid after that date, you accept the new Terms. If you do not agree, you can stop using murid-murid and delete your account. If you have a subscription, cancel it in the store as well.

17. Law and complaints

These Terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia, and the courts of Malaysia decide any dispute about them. You can also bring a claim to the Tribunal for Consumer Claims Malaysia.

If something goes wrong, please contact us first so we can try to put it right. For complaints about personal data, you may also contact the Personal Data Protection Department (JPDP).
